
I know that I’ve been scarce around here in the blog world as of late and you know what that means? It’s time for a Chunky Chicano Challenge update. Yeah thats right. On July 1st, Kim and I started this “diet” and invited some of you to join in. Anyway, I started at 225 and am proud to report that I’ve gone down 5 pounds since then. That means I’m 1/5th of the way to my goal of 200 and I’m pretty excited about that. Basically all I’ve done so far is semi-modified my diet and added in some exercise. To be completely honest with you all, I have to tell you that the diet part has been pretty easy but the exercise part has been super hard for me. I think I need someone to run with besides Ryan on mondays cause if I don’t have anyone I just don’t want to do it. Anyway, thats my report. All of you out there who wanted to join in let me know how you’ve been doing or if you’ve even started yet. This is all about acountability people… you keep us accountable and we’ll keep you accountable. Report in people!!!
Oh and as an added bonus I just wanted to give us all a little motivation to do this… so Who’s fat?

Dropped 3 pounds …I weigh 203 now. Training has been going well. I am running four days a week doing a 3-5-3-6 approach to build up mileage. I plan to stick with this for another 6 weeks then gradually begin to increase mileage…hopefully by then my weight will be around the 198-195 range. My downfall is the 15 lb bag of M&M’s my wife insist on having to ‘reward’ our children for their potty training. The way I look at, my mama didn’t reward me so I occasionally take the liberty to make up for lost rewards!
I totally agree on the exercise thing! I’m such an exercise slacker…which is why I’ve only lost about 1 pound in the last 2 weeks! Thanks for the extra motivation.
We’re not looking to lose any weight, just improve our general health.
And we’re not doing much to that end, I’m afraid. MrsPages has been riding her bicycle with the kids, but the pace is not much for cardio.
We have been sleeping in the last week, so the morning walks have suffered.
Next week. Yeah, that’s it.
