KT Tunstall - I want you back

Wow, this video seriously blew me away. Not only is KT Tunstall amazing but the things she is able to pull off with the loops are awesome. I need to learn to use loops like this.

Do you loop?

yeah she is great…opf course king of all things loop is Phil Keaggy. check his song salvation army band on youtube.

I love the loop stuff …of course it is also really impractical in a church setting.

Alright, last night I was so inspired by this that I started messing with it before practice and let me tell you… it’s pretty tough. I was using the loop function on my DL4 and it worked ok. KT uses a Akai Headrush E2 and I don’t think those two are that different from each other… at least for basic stuff. Anyway, I was able to get some cool beats out of it. But let me tell you, you seriously have to be super precise about what you loop and what you lay over that cause it’s just gonna keep on going. Anyway, that’s my two cents. I”m gonna keep on messin’ with it and see what happens… maybe I’ll use it on stage some time when I’m able to do it decently… If I do I’ll let you know.

Do you think the Headrush is the best thing for this? Would a Boss RC-2 or RC-20 XL be better?

I’ve GOT to do this kind of thing on our “unplugged” Sundays!
