Ok, so maybe Twitter hasn’t necessarily killed my blog completely. What I will say is that Twitter has become my number one source for my social media addiction and that my friends is no easy task. Like most of you out there Twitter had to go through myspace (which was dead to me just after it started), Facebook (which is still great for the things that Twitter can’t do), and finally this blog. You see Twitter is just so easy… And the fact that I can use it anywhere and any time I want from my computer or my phone (which is the real deal maker) is amazing for me.
But the biggest reason I love and recommend Twitter is the people who are on it. On my Twitter I have something like 200 friends, friends that range from people I have never met before to people I see every day, but all of which know the things that are happening in my life and vice-versa. It’s great to be able to ask for prayer at any time and recieve it in real time. It’s amazing that I can ask a question and get answers from multiple people in an instant. Simply put, Twitter is an amazing way to connect with other people.
But don’t take my word for it. I would recommend that you try Twitter for yourself. I have found that I use Twitter best from my iPhone and highly recommend it for those who have one because the programs available on it make it so easy. My computer though is another great way to use Twitter. You can use Twitter from their website at www.Twitter.com or from a wide variety of programs that are available out there for your mac or PC. If you’re into social media I would totally recommend Twitter to you. I challenge you to try it for a week and see what happens. I know I’d be better informed about the things going on in your life and that’s a cool thing for me. Let me know if you wanna try and I’ll help you set it up.

I recommend Twitter as well. My blogging didn’t really suffer, since I’ve never been consistent with it, but I try to Twitter as often as I can as we (Leslie Brooke and I) have a good community of folks here (Brunswick and St. Simons Island, GA) that Twitter all day, every day.
My favorite style of Tweet is the open invite: “heading to Starbucks on Altama” where folks then flock there when they can. We have regular movie and game nights and Twitter has made it much easier to get everybody together.
My least favorite style is the ongoing conversation: “I’m sitting on the beach, Jenny. Why won’t you talk to me?” Please resolve problems the old fashioned way, in person or on the phone, and try to not air out your dirty laundry all over your Twitter followers.
That’s really kinda sick… go outside! Going COLD TURKEY …. Another Twitter MIA…
