I love my iPhone. I don’t think I’ve ever loved any phone more than I love this phone. Actually, I might even go as far as to say that I don’t think i’ve ever loved any other electronic device more than I this phone. I love it. Why? Because it’s changed the way I’m able to do things. Because it allows me to be anywhere and do anything from where ever I am. And it just keep on getting better. With that being said, one of my favorite thing to do when I meet someone else that has an iPhone is take a look a their apps to see what cool things they’ve found and use. So here’s what I use on my phone…
Yesterday, I had an awesome time siting down and having lunch with a good friend I haven’t hung out with for a long time. It’s funny, I love always end up loving the conversations we have together and the laughs and challenges that come out of those times and I always leave wondering why we don’t get together more often. Anyway, yesterday, somewhere in the course of our conversation he asked me the question “If I gave you a check for $10 Million Dollars today, what would tomorrow look like for you?” When he asked me that I was a little taken aback because I don’t know if I had honestly thought about that question before. It reminded me that I hadn’t taken the time to dream big about my own life in a long time, it made me think about where I am in my life right now and if I had that money, what, if anything, I would change. It was a great jumping point for me to start thinking about some bigger things in my life. I feel like I have a ton to think about right now with that question and everything that comes with it and I just thought I’d ask the same question to all of you to start getting some thoughts flowing in you life….
Man I love seeing people break out of the box and do something different. Most of the time though I find myself wanting to do that thing but find that one of the reasons I love it so much is because I usually lack talent in that area. Art is one of those areas…. So when I found this over at Tam’s blog today I was in awe and man I couldn’t turn my eyes away. So cool, check it for yourself.
March is here! (Yes, I know it’s the 19th of March and that it’s already been here for a few weeks but incase you haven’t noticed I’ve kinda been away from this whole blog thing for a while and therefore haven’t had a chance to write about the month of March and all of the glory that it’s coming bestows upon us… so ha) So, anyway, with the arrival of March come so many amazing things… Spring, Peeps in the supermarket, my birthday (March 5th, incase you wanted to know), and best of all the Manly Month of March.
What’s the Manly Month of March you ask? Well a quick Google of it didn’t reveal much on the history of the revered event but it did allow me to find another blogger who is also joining in this mighty endeavor this year. With that being said it still didn’t truly answer the question of what the Manly Month of March was so I guess it’s up to me to enlighten you all of the Manly Meaning behind the Manly Month of March. So here goes….
The Manly Month of March is a sacred right of passage passed down from generation to generation from father to son. The legend varies depending on who you ask but long ago there was a man who decided that he was tired of the oppression and bondage that had been cast upon him by the uncaring and vain society in which he lived so he deiced that he would take a stand against it and forsake all that had been thrust upon him though societal means. So with one mighty manly stroke of desperation and frustration he lifted the evil agent of his oppression and put it away in his medicine cabinet and told his wife that he wasn’t going to shave that month….
I told you it was good. Anyway, so this month I’ve taken it upon myself to become a mountain man and grow me some facial hair…. and may I say, yes, I do feel more manly this month. Well, the itchiness doesn’t feel so manly but we all gotta sacrifice a little, right?
Ricardo and all you other men out there joining me in my valiant quest over shaving, I salute you… may your facial hair grow long and mighty and not itch as much as mine does.
